CONGRATULATORY MESSAGE

A big congratulations to a member of NBA, Uyo Branch, and the current Chairman of Young Lawyers' Forum (YLF) of the Branch, METI MONDAY UKPEH, ESQ.on his recent appointment as the Acting Secretary of Civil Liberties Organization (CLO), Akwa Ibom State Chapter on Thursday, 9th January, 2025 under the distinguished leadership of the CLO State Chairman, Barr. Godknows Njoku.

His appointment is as a result of his integrity, professionalism, effectiveness and commitment to civil liberties matters in the state.

Former Akwa Ibom Lawmaker Bags One Imprisonment For Giving Police False Information  By Abasiofiok Inyang  A 58 year old former lawmaker and councilor who represented Midim Ward in Abak Local Government Area, Hon. Saviour Hanson Akpan has been sentenced to one year imprison for giving police false information of theft and murder of a three day old baby. Hon. Akpan bagged the one year jail term in a judgement delivered on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 by Presiding Magistrate Sam Ukoima Esq of Magistrate Court 11, Uyo.
