Auta Nyada Eulogizes Barnawa Branch On The Occasion Of Her Law Week

It is a great honour for me to have the rare privilege of delivering this goodwill message to one of the most vibrant branches of the Nigerian Bar Association in the Country.

While I congratulate the entire Exco and the organizers of this year's law week, I wish to state that the theme of the law week "Beyond May, 29" is not only apt, but aligns with the current reality of politics in our dear country.

It was J.F. Kennedy who said "ASK NOT WHAT YOUR COUNTRY CAN DO FOR YOU". This years theme is in complete sync with this all time phenomenal charge that humanity has been blessed with and the theme of this year's law week reflects the fact that the Leadership of NBA Barnawa Branch is alive to the realities of today, most especially, as the newly sworn in government settles down for governance.

It is my hope that the discussions that will ensue from this theme, will set an agenda for politicians, opinion molders, policy formulators and lobbyists in the lifetime of this regime & beyond.

I equally have no doubt that the best hands have been selected to do justice to this apt  theme and on the whole, I wish the Barnawa Branch of the NBA, roburst and peaceful deliberations all through this law week.

Former Akwa Ibom Lawmaker Bags One Imprisonment For Giving Police False Information  By Abasiofiok Inyang  A 58 year old former lawmaker and councilor who represented Midim Ward in Abak Local Government Area, Hon. Saviour Hanson Akpan has been sentenced to one year imprison for giving police false information of theft and murder of a three day old baby. Hon.
