Goodwill Message To All Participants Of The EBF Meeting

I congratulate the Governor of the Eastern Bar Forum, his committed Executive members and the Organizers of the quarterly meeting for a successful and impactful meeting birthed in the place of intelligent planning, focused effort, attention to details and commitment to excellence.

It is said that we are what we do repeatedly.

This forum has become a formidable movement because it has done seemingly common things in an uncommon and dynamic way. You have remained one of the most outstanding forum of the NBA in terms of membership, organization of meetings, events and programmes that have direct bearing on your members, and the Nigerian Bar Association at large.

 I am therefore optimistic that the rejuvenating and successful deliberations  stemming from the meeting will be brought to bear in the coming days to  overcome the challenges that bedevil the NBA.  

 To the Leadership, thank you for knowing the way, showing the way and leading the way.

Former Akwa Ibom Lawmaker Bags One Imprisonment For Giving Police False Information  By Abasiofiok Inyang  A 58 year old former lawmaker and councilor who represented Midim Ward in Abak Local Government Area, Hon. Saviour Hanson Akpan has been sentenced to one year imprison for giving police false information of theft and murder of a three day old baby. Hon. Akpan bagged the one year jail term in a judgement delivered on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 by Presiding Magistrate Sam Ukoima Esq of Magistrate Court 11, Uyo.
