Eastern Bar Forum (EBF) Mourns The Untimely Death Of C. D. Omekagu-Odumeh, Esq.

The Eastern Bar Forum mourns with the Nigerian Bar Association, Orlu Branch on the untimely demise of her very active and dynamic Publicity Secretary, C. D. Omekagu-Odumeh, Esq. whose life was cut short in its prime by men of the underworld today, the 15th day of September, 2021.

We pray that the Almighty God shall grant the family, the Nigerian Bar Association, Orlu Branch and the Eastern Bar Forum the heart to bear this painful loss.

May his kind soul rest in peace and let perpetual light shine upon him, Amen!

Former Akwa Ibom Lawmaker Bags One Imprisonment For Giving Police False Information  By Abasiofiok Inyang  A 58 year old former lawmaker and councilor who represented Midim Ward in Abak Local Government Area, Hon. Saviour Hanson Akpan has been sentenced to one year imprison for giving police false information of theft and murder of a three day old baby. Hon. Akpan bagged the one year jail term in a judgement delivered on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 by Presiding Magistrate Sam Ukoima Esq of Magistrate Court 11, Uyo.
