THANK YOU
By: Auta Nyada

Dear Esteemed Members of the Nigerian Bar Association,

As the Scriptures remind us, "it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy." I am profoundly humbled and honored to accept your trust and mandate to serve as your Welfare Secretary. This moment is a resounding testament to your belief in my vision and unwavering commitment to the well-being of our revered association.

With a heart brimming with gratitude, I extend my heartfelt thanks to each and every one of you who have supported me throughout this journey. Your encouragement, guidance, and unwavering votes have been the driving force behind this victory.

I must not fail to offer my sincerest appreciation to my dedicated campaign Team, for their unalloyed support, selfless sacrifice, and steadfast commitment. Lord knows I could not have arrived at this pivotal juncture without such a remarkable and result-oriented team. My profound gratitude also goes to the NBA President, Y.C. Maikyau SAN, for creating a level playing field and enabling a free and fair election. I am equally thankful to my friend and President elect, Afam Osigwe SAN, for stepping in at a critical moment and embodying the true essence of friendship.

I also express my deepest appreciation to my family – my wife, (Matan Auta), my children, Aaron, Nyada Jr., and Miracle, my mother, (Mama Jik), my brother (Lord Deacon), and my two sisters, Lompt and Espior. When all is said and done, it is family that one truly and actually has, and this election process has reaffirmed the profound truth in this statement. I thank you all for your unwavering prayers and unconditional support, without which I could not have navigated this path.

I also extend my commendation to my fellow co-contestants, for their spirited competition which undoubtedly sharpened my resolve and focus, pushing me to strive for excellence. I now invite you all to join hands with me, so that together, we can make the Bar work for the benefit of all.

As your Welfare Secretary, I promise to prioritize your needs, amplify your voices, and work tirelessly to enhance the well-being of our esteemed association. I will strive to create a supportive environment where every member feels valued, heard, and empowered.

I acknowledge the trust you have bestowed upon me, and I assure you that I will not disappoint. I will work closely with our leadership, colleagues, and stakeholders to deliver meaningful results and make a positive impact on our association.

Thank you once again for this privilege. Together, let us build a stronger, more supportive community for all!

Sincerely,
Nyada Auta
Welfare Secretary Elect
