Eastern Bar Forum Elects New Executive Members

The Eastern Bar Forum is an association of NBA Branches comprising the Old Eastern Region of Nigeria formed in 2004 to cater for the interest of members within the aims and objectives of the Nigerian Bar Association. It also aims to assist members to achieve their dreams, ambitions and goals within NBA. The Forum further aims to assist members in manpower development through Seminars, Workshops and Conferences.

The swearing in ceremony of the newly elected officials who will run the forum for the next two years was done during Quarterly General Meeting of the Forum held on Saturday, 19th August, 2023 at the Hon. Justice Mary Odili Judicial Complex, Bank Road, Port Harcourt, Rivers State saw the emergence of Aniekan Amos Akpan Esq. (Former Chairman of NBA Uyo Branch) as Chairman.

Other elected executive members are:

Deputy Governor: Ogbonna Okorie (NBA Abakaliki Branch) 

Secretary: Kennedy Onwusi 

Financial Secretary: Lauretta Ikwuka (NBA Onitsha Branch)

Welfare Secretary: Ohaka Assayomo Tamaraubrakemi (NBA Sagbama Branch)

Publicity Secretary: Berth Okoye Aniche (NBA Aba Branch)

Former Akwa Ibom Lawmaker Bags One Imprisonment For Giving Police False Information  By Abasiofiok Inyang  A 58 year old former lawmaker and councilor who represented Midim Ward in Abak Local Government Area, Hon. Saviour Hanson Akpan has been sentenced to one year imprison for giving police false information of theft and murder of a three day old baby. Hon.
