Auta Nyada Celebrates With The Lion Bar On The Occasion Of Their Law Week

I salute the Lion Bar, (where the King is truly King) on the occasion of her anual Law week 2023. Most importantly, I celebrate the Excutive of the branch and the organizers of this year's law week, for painstakingly keeping up with the age long tradition of the legal profession. 

It is Worthy of note that asides the intellectual engagement that law weeks afford lawyers, it is also provides a calm atmosphere for camaraderie, to strengthen our professional bond.

The uniqueness of this year's theme: "General Elections in Nigeria 2023; A Review of The Nation's Political Culture And Electoral Integrity" is unquestionable in the sense that we are in a time where every aspect of our culture, Morals, Legal,  Social and Political tenets are being desecrated by desperate and opportunistic entities.

I know that given the choice of speakers in this year's law week, at the end of this exercise, all those in attendance will have an attitudinal change towards the role of the legal system, vis a vis the relationship between citizens and the State.

Former Akwa Ibom Lawmaker Bags One Imprisonment For Giving Police False Information  By Abasiofiok Inyang  A 58 year old former lawmaker and councilor who represented Midim Ward in Abak Local Government Area, Hon. Saviour Hanson Akpan has been sentenced to one year imprison for giving police false information of theft and murder of a three day old baby. Hon.
