Goodwill Message By Auta Nyada, Esq. On The Occasion Of The NBA Kaduna Branch Law Week 2023.
The decision to extend an invitation to me to say a few words on the theme of this year's law week of your Branch is not just a privilege, but a rare one; for which I owe the Chairman of the Branch, the entire Executives and the Law Week organizing committee a debt of gratitude.
While I salute your courage, foresight and sheer diligence in commandeering resources together to put up an event of this nature in keeping faith with the age-long tradition of the Profession, I must not hesitate to state that the choice of this year’s theme: "LEVEL UP: UPLIFT THE STANDARDS OF LEGAL PRACTICE" is not only apt in context, but also in timing.
The theme speaks volume about HOPE in spite of fallen standards of the practice of the legal profession & economic downturn that has greeted this country.
The importance of putting together a law week in the face of the biting economic reality, deserves immense commendation and it is my sincere hope that the gains of this years law week would not be lost on us after the program is ended but that we shall together strive to *LEVEL UP & UPLIFT THE STANDARDS OF LEGAL PRACTICE* in Nigeria.
Thank you all once more for giving me this opportunity to share my thoughts with you.
