The Leadership And Members Of EBF-YLF Congratulate The President-Elect Yakubu Chonoko Maikyau, SAN And All The Newly Elected National Officers

The leadership and members of Eastern Bar Forum-Young Lawyers under the Chairmanship of Ndifreke Aquaisua Esq. heartily congratulate the President-elect Yakubu Chonoko Maikyau, SAN and all the newly elected National Officers as well as Members of the General Council of the Bar for a successful election.

We call upon the newly elected National Executive to introduce policies that will improve the welfare of young lawyers across the country especially that of young lawyers within the Eastern Bar Forum (EBF). We also call upon the newly elected National Executive to work diligently and selflessly towards consolidating and improving on the success of the outgoing Administration under the leadership of Mr. Olumide Akpata as it relates to the welfare of lawyers across the country upon resumption of office.

We thank ECNBA for conducting a free, fair and transparent national officers' elections. We also thank candidates that lost elections into various national offices for exhibiting high level of sportsmanship. Their acts of sportsmanship will surely be emulated by members of other Associations across the federation. 

We urge all young lawyers within EBF to support the newly elected national officers in their service to the Association.

Former Akwa Ibom Lawmaker Bags One Imprisonment For Giving Police False Information  By Abasiofiok Inyang  A 58 year old former lawmaker and councilor who represented Midim Ward in Abak Local Government Area, Hon. Saviour Hanson Akpan has been sentenced to one year imprison for giving police false information of theft and murder of a three day old baby. Hon.
