Chairman, Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Oji River Branch Congratulates The New Chief Judge Of Enugu State.

On behalf of the Nigerian Bar Association, Oji River Branch I congratulate the brand new Chief Judge of Enugu State, Honourable Justice Afojulu Raymond Ozoemena who was sworn in today as the 5th substantive Chief Judge of Enugu State.

As a Branch of the Nigerian Bar Association in Enugu state we are wishing His Lordship the new Chief Judge a very successful and robust tenure as the head of Court in Enugu State and as well as praying that His Lordship should have a stellar career as the Chief Judge of Enugu State.

Finally, we wish to congratulate His Excellency the Executive Governor of Enugu State, Rt. Hon. (Dr) Ifeanyi Lawrence Ugwuanyi for his friendly disposition to the Judiciary in Enugu state and for respecting seniority at the Bar and Bench and for observing the provisions of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the rules and guidelines of the National Judicial Council (NJC) in the appointment of Chief Judge by appointing His Lordship, Hon. Justice A. R. Ozoemena who is the most Senior Judge of the  Enugu State High Court and most importantly, eminently qualified at the time of retirement of the former Chief Judge of Enugu State, His Lordship, Hon. Justice Ngozi Priscilla Emehelu, FCIArb, FICMC, F.DRI now retired, who attained the constitutionally prescribed retirement age of 65 years on September 7, 2021.

Congratulations to the new Chief Judge of Enugu State as lawyers, we are very confident that His Lordship will bring positive improvement to the Enugu State Judiciary and as well as better administration of justice in the State.
