Auta Nyada Salutes Bwari And Enugu Branches Of The Nigerian Bar Association On The Successful Conclusion Of Their Law Week And Dinner.

It has become imperative for me to salute the Executives and members of the Bwari and Enugu branches of the NBA for successfully hosting and concluding their law week and dinner events.

I am not oblivious of the fact that the COVID 19 Pandemic and the strike action embarked upon by the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN) of which  our great association was at the forefront, took a substantial part of our legal practice which has greatly affected the finances of our colleagues. But despite these odds, you found it compelling to observe the professions age long traditions of organizing a law week on topical issues that have bearing on the state of the nation today.

I have no doubt in my mind and from the pictorials I have seen so far, that the events were well organized and attended. And the issues discussed will further enhanced swift and effective dispensation of Justice in the Country which will in turn, add value to the society.

I must also salute you for bringing lawyers together to dine and wine with one another to smoothen the bond of friendship and camaraderie amongst colleagues.
We pray and hope that we will have a more robust engagement in the years to come.
Again I say congratulations to you and your indefatigable teams.

Former Akwa Ibom Lawmaker Bags One Imprisonment For Giving Police False Information  By Abasiofiok Inyang  A 58 year old former lawmaker and councilor who represented Midim Ward in Abak Local Government Area, Hon. Saviour Hanson Akpan has been sentenced to one year imprison for giving police false information of theft and murder of a three day old baby. Hon.
