Akwa Ibom Christian Assembly (ACA), a non-political but religious organization held her December Prayer Summit, yesterday, Tuesday, 7th, 2021 at Destiny International Missions in Ewet Housing Estate.
The International President of ACA, Arch-Bishop Cletus Bassey, noted that the Prayer Summit been its December Edition is aimed at reaffirming the Organization's commitement in praying for Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria and the World at large. He pointed out that ACA is not fighting any other body rather her mission is to defend God's kingdom. Arch Bishop Bassey , noted that 2023 is in God's hand as no one has the monopoly of the voice of God. He stressed that 2023 is not the only reason ACA is in existence rather her primary focus includes praying for the right Leaders. He appeal for the cooperation of all as ACA awaits the presentation of political candidates for the 2023 gubernatorial election from the various parties , so that ACA can take its decision on who to support , after listening to all of them. The International President appreciated the Leadership of Ewet Offot for providing ACA with their Event Center to host her Prayer Summit . He also appreciated everyone who donated towards making the event a successful one and also thanked the Clerics, ACA Coordinators and the entire people who made out time to attend the Summit.
In his message, the Vice President of ACA - Evangelist Smith Ukpong , expressed his appreciation to all the members of ACA for standing true to their faith and belief in ACA. He retiriated the fact that ACA is not a political party or a government party but ACA is a pressure group, designed to mobilise Christians towards involving themselves in the governance process. That as a body, ACA is not for anybody but for everybody , who is a Christian and ready to adhere to it's principles. He ended by expressing his appreciation to the Leadership and members of ACA for defending the ideals of ACA inspite of the challenges.
Rev. Dr. Angela Ashong led in the Exhortation on the topic: God's Watchman. Taking her teaching from the book of Isaiah 40. He describe God's Watchman as one who engages in Prayer and Warfare. She pointed out that other attributes of a Watchman includes: Protection, Defense, Observation, Warnings, Revelation, Offense, Execution of the written judgement upon principalities and powers and preparing the way of the Lord. The Woman of God noted that a watchman doesn't just see, observe and hear, rather blows the heavenly trumpet. She charged participants from the book of Isa. 21:6, Ezekiel 3:17 and called on participants to return back to their place of Watchman.
Rev. Ntia Ntia, took on the prophetic declaration anchoring on the book of Hosea 18:14, he declared: God's goodness upon Akwa Ibom State and Nigeria, he cancelled every appointment of premature death in the lives of participants and Akwa Ibom State. The General Overseer, Full Life Christian Centre, led participants in the warfare prayers aimed at reviving, restoring and securing God's Children. He commanded an end to evil altars, charms and power from hell.
The organization took time to pray for the first family, His Excellency Deacon Udom Emmanuel and Her Excellency Dr. (Mrs.) Udom Emmanuel commanding special blessings on the Governor & Her Excellency as they continue in their services to the good people of Akwa Ibom State. In the spirit of prayer, they prayed for Akwa Ibom State and Nigeria calling on God's intervention as 2023 approaches.
The event witnessed General Overseer of Churches within and outside the State. Notable persons that were there are: Archbishop Cletus Bassey, Rev Smith Ukpong- ACA's Vice President, Rev Angela Ashong, Rev Ntia Ntia, Apostle Okoriko, Archbishop Ekoi, Bishop Awasiakan Otong, Bishop Isreal Benson, Bishop Ifreke Ekpenyong, Apostle Nyenime Andy, Rev Utibe - eno John Udo, Rev. Willie Rufus, HE Mrs Idongesit Nkanga and very many Pastors.
Also in attendance from the political class included; Mr James Iniama an Estate Valuer and a Gubernatorial aspirant of the PDP; who is also a Pastor with the RCCG was there in person, Rt. Hon Barr Onofiok Luke sent in a representative, Senator Bassey Albert, Mr Udom Inoyo, Senator Effiong Bob , Senator John Udoedghe and Engr Ide Owodiong all called to send in their goodwill, promising to be there next time.
