It is my pleasure to felicitate the entire members of the Federación Internacional de Abogadas (FIDA) [Nigeria] on the occasion of her Annual Conference holding in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

FIDA has been at the forefront of the fight against all forms of oppression, abuse, and standing to defend the vulnerable in our society.

Former Akwa Ibom Lawmaker Bags One Imprisonment For Giving Police False Information  By Abasiofiok Inyang  A 58 year old former lawmaker and councilor who represented Midim Ward in Abak Local Government Area, Hon. Saviour Hanson Akpan has been sentenced to one year imprison for giving police false information of theft and murder of a three day old baby. Hon. Akpan bagged the one year jail term in a judgement delivered on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 by Presiding Magistrate Sam Ukoima Esq of Magistrate Court 11, Uyo.
