It is my pleasure to congratulate the leaders and members of the Advocates as they wine and dine together on the occasion of her end-of-the-year dinner celebrations.

I am minded to encourage all the young lawyers of the branch to participate in the quiz competition which would bolster their pupillage, and careers. It will further afford them the confidence to build a great legal practice for the future.

Former Akwa Ibom Lawmaker Bags One Imprisonment For Giving Police False Information  By Abasiofiok Inyang  A 58 year old former lawmaker and councilor who represented Midim Ward in Abak Local Government Area, Hon. Saviour Hanson Akpan has been sentenced to one year imprison for giving police false information of theft and murder of a three day old baby. Hon. Akpan bagged the one year jail term in a judgement delivered on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 by Presiding Magistrate Sam Ukoima Esq of Magistrate Court 11, Uyo.
