Today marks the birthday of one of the founding fathers of the  Eastern Bar Forum from the South South, a man who saw it from the beginning, an avid follower and believer in  the prowess of the Eastern Bar Forum. A committed Barman par excellence. One of the progenitors of NBA Ogoja Branch and an active member of the Branch who served twice as her Chairman from 1998 - 2000 and from 2003 - 2005 because of his dedication, humility and integrity.
A pillar of support and commitment.

A past Financial Secretary of the Nigerian Bar Association 2008-2010.
He is a committed member of the EBF and served as the immediate past Governing Council member that represented Cross River State in the EBF.
He is a recipient of the EBF Distinguished Award.

Elder, on behalf of the entire membership of the Eastern Bar Forum, I wish you a happy birthday. You are blessed today and in more years to come. Almighty Jehovah protect, guide and direct you in all your endeavours as you age in glory may prosperity and divine health continue to be your portion, Amen!

Former Akwa Ibom Lawmaker Bags One Imprisonment For Giving Police False Information  By Abasiofiok Inyang  A 58 year old former lawmaker and councilor who represented Midim Ward in Abak Local Government Area, Hon. Saviour Hanson Akpan has been sentenced to one year imprison for giving police false information of theft and murder of a three day old baby. Hon. Akpan bagged the one year jail term in a judgement delivered on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 by Presiding Magistrate Sam Ukoima Esq of Magistrate Court 11, Uyo.
