Akwa Ibom State Judiciary Begins New Legal Year 2021/2022
The Akwa Ibom State Judiciary has formally commenced its 2021/2022 legal year today Monday, 11th October, 2021 after its annual vacation.
A special church service which commenced at 10:00am prompt was held at the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, Idoro Road, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
The Chief Judge of Akwa Ibom State, Hon. Justice Ekaette F. Fabian-Obot led members of the Judiciary to thank God for His goodness.
The Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State, represented by the Deputy Governor of the State, Mr. Moses Ekpo.
Some of the dignitaries in attendance include: The Speaker of Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Aniekan Bassey, The Attorney General of Akwa Ibom State, Mr. Uko Essien Udom (SAN), Former Attorneys General of the State, Chief Assam Assam and Mr. Uwemedimo Nwoko (SAN), Prof. Enefiok Essien (SAN), Mr. Solomon Umoh (SAN), Ntufam Mba Ukweni (SAN) etc.
During the sermon, the host Pastor, Ileogben O. Peter ministered on the topic: converting your insults to results. The scriptural reading of the event was taken from the book of Isaiah 53:1 - 12.
A parade of guard held afterwards at the Judiciary Headquarters, Uyo to officially mark the commencement of activities in the courts.
The special court session is billed to hold to at the Judiciary Headquarters, Uyo.
